Privacy Policy
Elpis Kids Art Journal ("Elpis", "we", "our", or "us") helps parents and guardians record, organize, enhance, and revisit a child's artwork. This policy explains what information the app processes and how it is used.
Information You Add to the App
Elpis may store information you choose to add, including child profile details, photos or images of drawings, notes, dates, favorites, book collections, app settings, optional voice messages, and AI-generated results such as beautified images or AI reviews.
Most of this information is stored locally on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, your library is stored in your private iCloud container so it can sync across devices signed in with the same Apple ID. We do not operate or access your private iCloud account.
AI Features
AI features are optional. When you choose to use AI Beautify, AI Review, or related AI features, Elpis sends the selected artwork and the relevant prompt or style request to the Elpis AI service so the request can be processed.
An AI request may include a compressed copy of the selected drawing, prompt or review text, an anonymous app user ID used for quota and entitlement checks, subscription entitlement information when needed to confirm access, and basic technical request information required to operate and secure the service.
The Elpis AI service may route requests to AI providers such as OpenAI and Google Gemini to generate the requested output. Artwork sent for AI processing is used to fulfill the request and is not used by Elpis to train AI models. AI results are for reference only and may be inaccurate or imperfect.
Purchases
Elpis PRO subscriptions are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase and StoreKit. Apple processes payment information. Elpis may receive and process purchase details such as product ID, transaction ID, expiration date, and verification data to unlock PRO features and manage AI quota. Elpis does not receive your credit card number.
Permissions
Elpis may request access to Camera, Photos, Microphone, Notifications, and iCloud. These permissions support photographing drawings, importing or saving images, recording optional voice messages, notifying you when tasks finish, and syncing your library across your own Apple devices. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Elpis does not include third-party advertising and is not designed to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The app does not require an account or login.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as needed to provide app features, including with Apple services such as iCloud and StoreKit, AI service providers used to process optional AI requests, and infrastructure providers that host or secure the Elpis AI service.
Data Retention and Deletion
Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove the app, or delete the related iCloud data. If iCloud sync is enabled, deleting synced content may also remove it from your iCloud-synced library.
AI request data is retained only as needed to process the request, operate the service, prevent abuse, debug failures, and meet legal or security obligations. We aim to keep server-side retention limited and do not use your child's artwork to train Elpis-owned AI models.
Children
Elpis is intended for parents and guardians to record a child's artwork. Children should use the app only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when Elpis changes. The updated policy will be posted on this page.
